Indoor Air Quality Solutions

Do you want cleaner and healthier indoor air quality?

If you are looking to improve the air quality in your entire home or office, then you might want to consider looking into the units that are installed in your central HVAC system so that every time your central heat, AC or fan runs, the indoor air gets cleaned.

Optimal Air can offer different options for central HVAC installed Air Purification systems, but there is one in particular that we firmly believe in and highly recommend.

Air Scrubber by Aerus

ActivePure® Technology that attaches directly to the HVAC system ductwork to remove air pollution, VOCs, surface contaminants, pet dander, odors, and dust, resulting in a cleaner, healthier and more efficient home without the use of Ozone.

What is ActivePure® Technology?

Everyone is increasingly concerned about their potential exposure to allergens, mold, VOCs and air pollutants, and for good reason: allergies affect more and more people, and respiratory issues like asthma continue to be on the rise.

With ActivePure® Technology, you can go beyond traditional air purification systems by not only eliminating stale odors and reducing dust, but actually eliminating harmful contaminants* in the air and on the surfaces of your home.

ActivePure® is created in the USA, by a leading technology company with over 95 years of history and innovative products that have been recognized by the Smithsonian and trusted by millions of families. ActivePure® is the only air cleaning technology awarded the prestigious Certified Space Technology seal by the Space Foundation. Aerus owns worldwide rights to this proprietary ActivePure® Technology and it is the only Certified Space Technology that works to continuously clean and protect air and surfaces 24 hours a day.  ActivePure® is the only Certified Space Technology created in cooperation with NASA to protect the health of the astronauts on board the International Space Station.

Does it actually work?

NASA and peer reviewed University studies, as well as other air quality tests performed by professional restoration and air monitoring companies conclude that Air Scrubber by Aerus is effective at improving indoor air quality.

Fact:

More than 10,000 of these units were purchased by So Cal Gas Company and installed in homes in Porter Ranch, Los Angeles that were affected by the 2015 Aliso Canyon gas leak.  They were installed to clean the indoor air and allow some families to remain in their homes.

How to purchase?

The Air Scrubber plus can only be purchased from a licensed HVAC contractor.  The Air Scrubber company and its affiliates strictly prohibit contractors from discussing or advertising pricing online.  Please call us for more information and pricing.

Maintenance:

The cell (which includes the UV light) needs to be replaced by an HVAC contractor every 2-3 years.

California Air Resources Board approved product:

Air Scrubber by Aerus is a CARB approved air cleaner.  In 2008, CARB (California Air Resources Board) enacted an air cleaner regulation to limit the ozone emissions from indoor air cleaning devices. The regulation requires all indoor air cleaners sold in California to be certified by CARB, including air cleaners sold online.

Is an Air Scrubber right for you?

Does anyone in your home or office suffer from allergies, autoimmune diseases and/or other respiratory ailments? Is there a smoker in the house? Do you want to reduce the smell of chemicals or pet odors? Do you need to keep your indoor air as clean and healthy as possible? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, then you may want to consider installing an Air Scrubber in your home and/or place of business.

Whole House Fans

Installing a Whole House Fan is an efficient way to cool your home naturally and can help lower your electric bill.  Whole House Fans can work exceptionally well in Southern California because even in the summer time the evening outside temperatures cool off quite a bit, but the indoor temperatures remain warm without an air conditioner running.  A Whole House Fan works by pulling in cooler outside air through open windows, and the cool airflow moves throughout the rooms pushing the hot air out of the warmer areas of your home and out of the attic. It is a great way to avoid using the air conditioner or to at least reduce the load on the air conditioner so it does not have to work as hard or as long to reach and keep a desired temperature.

Whole House Fans help improve indoor air quality by drawing fresh outside air into your home and pushing out the indoor air that is often polluted with VOC’s (Volatile Organic Compounds).  VOC’s can be caused by many things including but not limited to: personal care products, air fresheners, cleaning products, cooking, smoking, paints, carpets, vinyl/laminate flooring, etc.  Many studies have shown that indoor air quality is often much worse than the outdoor air, so it is a healthy habit to ventilate your indoor space at least 5-20 minutes per day.  A whole house fan can help ventilate the indoor space much faster and more efficiently than just by opening your windows for a while.
